Do artists keep their masters and publishing? Our default stance is ownership‑first. We design agreements to protect your rights while enabling growth.
How does metadata help me get paid? Accurate, standardized metadata ensures your works are matched correctly across DSPs, PROs, and licensors—closing gaps where royalties commonly go missing.
Can we collaborate remotely at full quality? Yes—via CoLabs. We routinely run 24‑bit/48 kHz sessions with accredited engineers for a true studio feel, remotely.
Expanding Horizons in Music Education
Recognizing the importance of a well-rounded musical education, Patrick pursued an Associate’s degree in Music Education at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. His studies emphasized modern teaching methodologies, focusing on contemporary compositions and global music traditions, including Korean drumming. His approach aimed to make music education more relevant and accessible for new generations of learners.
Championing Community and Youth Music Programs
Patrick’s dedication to music education extends beyond academia. He played a key role in revitalizing the Music Makers program at the Boys & Girls Club, providing young musicians with opportunities to explore their talents in an inclusive and inspiring environment. His continued involvement in community music programs, such as the Rochester Music Board, reflects his belief in fostering future generations of artists.
The Boys & Girls Club of La Crosse, WI Music Makers Program

Patrick’s career began with a strong technical foundation in audio production. A graduate of the Los Angeles Recording School with a focus on post-production for film, he refined his expertise at Larson Studios, gaining hands-on experience in high-level sound engineering. His time at Extreme Music, a division of Sony Music ATV, solidified his reputation as an innovator. In his role as a metadata specialist, Patrick optimized content delivery for a catalog of over 70,000 songs, dramatically improving workflow efficiency and revenue generation.
In 2020, Patrick founded Amunson Audio LLC, an independent label and publishing company designed to provide comprehensive production, licensing, and copyright services for artists. As the majority shareholder and controller of The CoLabs Inc., he has established a cutting-edge platform that fosters real-time, high-fidelity collaborations between musicians, sound engineers, and creatives worldwide.
Through these ventures, Patrick continues to reshape the music industry by combining traditional production values with modern digital innovations. His commitment to transparency, efficiency, and artist empowerment drives the success of both Amunson Audio and The CoLabs Inc.
Patrick Jae Amunson is a versatile musician and producer with a diverse background in rock, electronic, and classical-inspired music. As the drummer, lead vocalist, and producer for Counter Culture—known for tracks like Fuck Politics—and a key member of the alt-rock band Eleven11, Patrick has honed his craft in both live performance and studio production.
Beyond rock, he explores electronic music under his DJ alias Fireye, producing high-energy EDM and experimental beats. Simultaneously, under his own name, he delivers unique “classical” reimaginings of modern songs on piano. In addition to his personal projects, Patrick has produced and published numerous artists, all of which can be found at Amunson Audio. His ability to bridge multiple genres and push creative boundaries makes him a dynamic force in the music industry.
