What's an EPK?

An Electronic Press Kit (EPK)  is a curated digital portfolio that provides key information about an artist, band, or creative project in a professional, easy-to-share format.

Think of it as your digital resume + media kit — designed to give industry professionals (like music supervisors, bookers, labels, PR agents, and journalists) a clear, polished overview of who you are and what you offer.

Artist Bio

A written narrative that introduces the artist — who they are, where they come from, and what they stand for. This section often includes two versions: • Short Bio (1–3 sentences): For quick intros, social bios, or embeds. • Long Bio (2–4 paragraphs): A deeper dive for press, media kits, and PR use. Your bio is often the first thing people read. It should capture your story, values, and musical identity — not just a list of accomplishments, but a sense of voice and purpose.

High-Res Photos

A selection of professionally shot, 300 DPI press-ready images that showcase the artist’s image and vibe. At a minimum: • 1 headshot • 1 full-body promo photo • 1–2 live performance shots Photos are what editors and curators use in press articles, playlists, posters, and thumbnails. High quality images = higher perceived value.

Music Links

Direct links or embedded players to your most relevant tracks on streaming platforms like: • Spotify • Apple Music • SoundCloud • Bandcamp This is your sonic first impression. It lets talent buyers, reviewers, or supervisors hear your sound immediately — without hunting.

Video Content

A curated selection of your best video assets, such as: • Music videos • Live performance footage • Behind-the-scenes clips • Tour recaps or short artist docu-style intros Video is the most powerful way to convey vibe, energy, and professionalism. It’s also used by booking agents to preview your live show presence.

Press Quotes

Pull quotes or testimonials from press, blogs, or influencers that validate your work. Credibility sells. A strong quote from a known outlet (or even a local publication) gives your project instant legitimacy.

Notable Achievements

Key milestones that show career momentum, such as: • Festival appearances • Awards or nominations • Sync placements (TV/Film/Ads) • Major tours or support slots • Viral moments or streaming milestones This shows that others have already validated you, and that you’ve gained traction in the industry.

Social Media/Contact

Links to your active and relevant platforms: • Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), Facebook • Booking/contact email • Management/label contact (if applicable) • Linktree, Songwhip, or website If someone wants to connect, book, or follow you — this is how they do it. Keeping your contact info visible reduces friction.

Tech Rider/Stage Plot

A simple one-pager detailing your live performance needs. Typically includes: • Input list (mics, DI boxes, etc.) • Stage plot (visual of where gear/members are placed) • Lighting preferences or notes • Backline needs (amps, monitors) Promoters and venues need this info in advance. Even if you’re a solo act, it makes you look professional and prepped.
